When we enjoy a cup of aromatic coffee and silence, we involuntarily think: how good, you forget about everything in the world. But, as it was found, the caffeine contained in the drink can effectively improve memory.
A valuable property of caffeine lies in the ability to protect human nerve cells from various damages. About half an hour is the time required for caffeine (other sources besides coffee are black tea and chocolate) to enter the bloodstream from the gastrointestinal tract. After four hours, it leaves the body through the kidneys. How does it affect the body during this time?
Scientists have done the research. Participants were asked to look at illustrations showing various objects. Next, all participants are divided into two groups. Testees in the first group are given caffeine tablets, while others are not.
It turned out that the 1st group remembered more details of the illustrations shown to them. Conducted research, scientists explain this phenomenon as follows: caffeine blocks the effects of the so-called adenosine. As a consequence, cognitive processes (eg, memory, relationships, differences) work more efficiently.
Coffee reduces the risk of various brain diseases. Caffeine's hallmark is also its ability to protect your nerve cells from damage caused by free radicals (it has antioxidant properties). For this reason, all those who drink coffee or tea often are less prone to neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's in the future. We advise you to choose good freshly roasted coffee beans in order to enjoy a quality product.
However, caution should be exercised when consuming caffeine. Otherwise, unhealthy excitement, anxiety, tremors, and even heart disorders occur.
