The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Crimea reported on an illegal workshop for the production and packaging of instant coffee, found in one of the farmsteads of a private household.
The process of making the fake MacCoffee was organized "at home" by a 40-year-old entrepreneur who spent several months running the coffee business with the necessary equipment confiscated during a search.
In addition, law enforcement officers seized more than 150 packages of MacCoffee, each of which included 40 bags of a fake drink, as well as more than 800 cans of instant coffee and powdered milk. According to a preliminary assessment, the damage amounted to 200 thousand hryvnia, about which the businessman was informed by a relevant notice.
For illegal use of a brand name, a criminal case may be initiated against an entrepreneur. Illegally produced goods will be confiscated and destroyed, and its manufacturer will have to pay a fine in the amount specified by the court order.
