Tea concept based on emotional design from Brazilian female students

Tea is gaining popularity in Brazil and more and more people are appreciating the drink for its many facets, including sensory memories, smell, taste and color. Therefore, design students Mariane Silvestre and Johanna Lieskow chose tea for their thesis to understand how emotional design can be used in packaging design.

The line they created was based on two tea blends. The first is an English breakfast for afternoon consumption and the second is jasmine, chamomile and lavender for evening tea. The concept of the design developed by the girls was based on the contrast of day and night, since the purpose of their research was the design of the package, and not the product itself.

Even though the best tea comes from loose leaf tea, in Brazilian culture, as in many others, people still prefer the convenience of tea bags. Therefore, design students decided not to change the format. They used bags containing large-leaf tea, the leaves of which, unfolding when brewed, release their taste and aroma.

By the way, when brewing tea, it is necessary that the water temperature is not maximum. Special Kitchen Aid kettles have the ability to adjust the temperature and other technological chips.
