sugar cakes

Apr 15 2016

This name should not deceive anyone, it's just a joke of Hungarian culinary specialists. Instead of this, not sweet filling, placed in these soft pies, can be any sweets, even sugar. The filling can be changed as desired. But also, if you feel that you have gained a couple of kilos of excess weight from good pies of your favorite, then you will have to ride a bicycle. And there is a good bike shop where you can buy a road builder bike today at competitive prices in the online store that you will find at the link - I advise you. After all, a bicycle is not only cool, but also burns your extra weight.

Ingredients:

  • 1.2 cups warm water (one glass of water I substituted for milk)
  • 2.½ packs of fresh yeast
  • 3.1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4.5 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 5.1 tablespoon salt
  • 6.6-6.5 cups flour (6 cups was enough for me, it depends on the quality of the flour)

filling:

  • 1 tomato
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 3 green onions
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • Salt

top:

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • poppy seeds or seeds of your choice

Pour into a bowl of warm water (milk) yeast diluted in warm milk in a cup, mix with sugar and salt. To revive the yeast, put it in a warm place, such as a microwave. Then pour in vegetable oil and flour, gradually stirring to knead a soft, elastic dough, you can knead in a bread machine. Leave the dough covered with a towel in a warm place for about one hour.

For the filling, washed tomatoes, diced peppers, onion slices. Salt a little, then mix with 2 tablespoons of tomato puree. Whisk an egg in a small bowl and then mix all the ingredients. The risen dough is torn into several small pieces, rolled out and the filling is placed inside with a spoon and covered with the next piece. All buns are closed and they are planted for baking on a tray lined with baking paper. Leave enough space between them and let them rise, put in a warm place, leave alone for another 20 minutes.

Brush the top of the bun with egg and butter, and then sprinkle more seeds of your choice on top. Bake at 200° in a preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes. Bon appetit!
