Top drinks for youth and longevity include tea and coffee

Mar 26 2013

Every person has a desire to maintain health and prolong youth. British scientists have compiled a rating of drinks conducive to the realization of these desires. The first place in the top was taken by mineral water, which moisturizes the skin, improves digestion and dulls the feeling of hunger.

Coffee ranked second on the list as it is a good source of antioxidants that react with free radicals, protecting the cells and tissues of the human body. Chlorogenic acid, which is part of coffee, helps maintain normal weight and blood sugar levels.

In third place was green tea, known in Asia for thousands of years as a longevity drink. Inexpensive and mild in taste, it is distinguished by a high concentration of organic compounds that the human body badly needs.

This is followed by hot dark chocolate, which lowers blood pressure, as well as red wine, the anti-aging properties of which are provided by resveratrol, and of course milk, which, according to recent studies, reduces the risk of stroke, diabetes and coronary heart disease.
