Ingredients:
- 1 kg of sweet cherry - 1 lemon - 1 kg of granulated sugar - 250 ml of water - about 300 g of walnuts - 0.5 tsp. cinnamon (optional) PREPARATION: - Wash the cherries, dry a little, remove the seeds; - Put a part of the walnut kernel into each petiole (it is possible only inside, it is possible so that part of the nut is visible); - Pour water into a saucepan, add granulated sugar and boil the syrup. Let the syrup boil for about 3-5 minutes; - Remove the syrup from the heat, put the cherries, mix and let the syrup cool completely; - Put on a small fire, bring to a boil, boil for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, let cool completely;
- Add lemon zest (and cinnamon), put on a low heat, bring to a boil, boil for 10 minutes and immediately place in sterilized jars.
