How to brew yellow tea correctly

Yellow tea should be brewed in much the same way as white tea. Use one tablespoon of tea leaves (about two grams) per 500 ml of water. The amount of tea can be adjusted independently according to your taste, and the temperature of the water should be around 95-100 ° C. The tea is brewed for one minute and drunk immediately.

You can brew yellow tea several times

Yellow tea can withstand three to five infusions. The second brew can last for two minutes, and the third should take a little longer, and so on. If you use a glass teapot, you can enjoy the sight of golden stems or delicate leaves floating right in the water.

For premium yellow tea such as Junshan Yinzhen, the recommended brewing method is the same as for premium Longjing tea:

  1. Prepare a glass of 200 ml;
  2. Pour water into it at a temperature of 95 ° C to 1/3 cup;
  3. Add about 5 g of tea;
  4. Wait a minute. When each tea leaf is fully unfolded, fill the glass to the top;
  5. Brew for 1-2 minutes.
