Charity Tea Auction Raises Rs 1.8 Million

Dec 20 2013

Auction Center "Guwatahi" organized a Big Charity Tea Auction, which was attended by both large and small tea companies. In total, there were approximately 27,000 kilograms of tea at the auction, as a result of the sale of which an amount of about 1.8 million Indian rupees was collected.

The auction was held during the World Day of Persons with Disabilities, and the proceeds from the sale of tea products were donated to the trio of organizations working with people with disabilities.

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, during the auction, expressed his admiration for the Guwatahi charity initiative, and also said that the government intends to organize a state fund in the future to help people with disabilities.

The minister also voiced some concern about the low sales of public sector tea compared to Indian Assam tea. According to Gogoya, this is due to the low quality of branding and marketing, as competition in the tea market is only growing every year.

The following information will be of interest to tea companies. On the 4MARKET+ website, you can buy tea and coffee in bulk at good prices. Although the assortment is limited, different popular brands are represented here: Greenfield, Ekoland, Lavazza, Milford, Twinings.
