New York-based designer Flora Chen has taken inspiration from world literature and developed special tea blends, each dedicated to a different book.
Born in Singapore, the 22-year-old graphic designer went to New York to study design at Parsons The New School for Design. As Flora herself admits, even at school she drew posters for all sorts of theatrical performances and other events. Given her love for the process of painting, Chen decided to make it her career and was not mistaken.
Flora called her "literary" tea project "Prologue Tea". Consisting of five different tea blends, the collection is dedicated to such literary masterpieces as Lolita and Don Quixote. For example, The Great Gatsby is a green tea with mint, which is combined with apple, raspberry, blueberry and plum, and Sherlock Holmes is a black tea with bergamot, orange and vanilla.
While the project is under development, however, it will soon be possible to purchase a tea collection. You can choose from both full jars of tea, and the opportunity to buy the entire Prologue Tea line neatly packaged in an exclusive gray chest with a lock.
